Overview
We are seeking an experienced Software Tester to support a high-visibility internal application initiative. This role will partner closely with development, product, and business teams to ensure quality across multiple platforms. The position is primarily remote with occasional on-site collaboration as needed and is expected to run for approximately 3-4 months.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies across web, backend, and mobile platforms
Own testing activities for one or more Scrum teams, working closely with Developers, BAs, Product Owners, and Project Managers
Execute and maintain manual test coverage including smoke, regression, integration, end-to-end, data migration, and data validation testing
Analyze project requirements and user stories to define test scenarios and identify quality risks
Log defects, track resolution, and validate fixes across multiple environments
Provide regular test status updates, defect metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders and leadership
Contribute to improving test processes, scalability, and overall quality standards
Support and mentor team members by sharing testing best practices and process knowledge
Required Qualifications
Strong hands-on experience in software testing across web-based, desktop, and mobile applications
Deep understanding of QA processes and software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating across technical teams
Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Azure DevOps or similar)
Ability to translate business and technical requirements into effective test cases
Excellent communication skills with the ability to discuss technical issues clearly and confidently
Preferred Experience
Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field or equivalent practical experience
Background in enterprise or highly regulated environments
Experience with both manual testing and test automation concepts/tools
Familiarity with CI/CD practices and modern development workflows
Relevant certifications in testing, Agile, or Scrum are a plus
Work Environment
Hybrid role: mostly remote with flexibility to attend in-office meetings when required
